Welcome!

Established in 1991 and officially chartered in 2000, the Iota Nu Alumni Association serves as a means to continue the development of the bonds of brotherhood formed during active membership of Pi Kappa Alpha.

The Iota Nu Alumni Association is dedicated to supporting the growth and development of Iota Nu and serving as a communicaiton link between alumni members.

Most importantly, the Iota Nu Alumni Association will continue to emulate the true meaning of phi phi kappa alpha.

CHAPTER UPDATE (February 2007):

In summary, the University has refused to grant leniency to the chapter after its 3rd probation in the past two semesters.  This decision was made after the VP for Student Development consulted with both the University Provost and Father Biondi.  Those in attendance collectively agreed that allowing the chapter to “disappear” from campus and re-colonize in a few years is the best way to preserve the history and long-term future of the Iota Nu Chapter.

The alumni are in possession of eight Smythe Awards given to the chapter over the past 17 years, all other trophies, composites, ritual items, etc.  We have been in frequent contact with the head of Chapter Relations for the National Fraternity and will work closely with them to follow the best course of action for maintaining a positive relationship with the University while the chapter is away from campus.

There is currently a 5-year ban on the chapter, but this ultimately may be reduced based on the way the Iota Nu alumni and National Fraternity address the situation.  The Supreme Counsel of the National Fraternity will be discussing the chapter's situation and making a decision on its charter and related issues sometime during February.

Our current plan is to begin holding Iota Nu Alumni Association meetings on a regular basis.  In the short term, we discussed holding these meeting on campus in the renovated Busch Student Center.

We expect that many of you are shocked, upset, disappointed, etc.  We believe that the Iota Nu chapter can return to the Saint Louis University campus and rebuild into one of the nation’s elite fraternities.  We encourage local alumni to begin joining us for the meetings that will be scheduled in the coming months.  It’s our goal to elect alumni board officers the next time we get together.
